Movember campaign have succeeded in raising awareness, but more action is needed: Research on Cyprus, via My Opinion
According to the Movember survey conducted by Pulse Market Research in collaboration with MOVEMBER CYPRUS 2022 among men in Cyprus through the My Opinion online community, knowledge does not always lead to action.
Specifically, while 8 out of 10 respondents knew about the campaign:
- Only 7% said they visit their personal doctor often, and
- 79% have never been tested for prostate cancer.
These data demonstrate that information is not a guarantee for action, and that much progress is still needed to awaken and cultivate a culture of health awareness among the male population of Cyprus.
