MAZI Foundation was created in order to inform the public about people suffering from various eating disorders and obesity.
Cases of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, bedwetting) and obesity observed in Cyprus show a worrying increase, especially among young women aged 15-25. The lack of sufficient scientific research to identify and address the problem, the lack of infrastructure and adequate education and ignorance of the public, create a dangerous scenario.
Through the activities of the foundation, we aspire to act as the catalyst that will create the conditions for awareness and mobilization of initiatives in both the public and private sector for the optimal management of eating disorders and obesity in Cyprus. The foundation’s website aims to properly inform, prevent and raise awareness about all the issues we are active in.
